1. Die steel

The laser welding machine can be used to weld S136, SKD-11, NAK80, 8407, 718, 738, H13, P20, W302, 2344 and other types of die steel, and the welding effect is better.

2. Carbon steel

The laser welding machine welds carbon steel with good results. The welding quality depends on the content of impurities. In order to obtain good welding quality, the carbon content exceeds 0.25% requires to preheat. As the carbon content increases, the sensitivity of weld cracks and notches will increase.

3. Alloy steel

For laser welding of low-alloy high-strength steel, as long as the selected welding parameters are appropriate, a joint with mechanical properties equivalent to the base metal can be obtained.

4. Stainless steel

Because the welding speed and heat-affected zone of the laser welding machine are small, the overheating phenomenon and the large linear expansion coefficient of the stainless steel welding are alleviated, and the welding seam has no defects such as pores and inclusions. Compared with carbon steel, stainless steel is easier to obtain deep penetration narrow welds due to its low thermal conductivity, high energy absorption rate and melting efficiency. Welding thin plates with a low-power laser welding machine can obtain a well-formed joint with a smooth and beautiful weld seam.

5. Copper and copper alloy

Welding copper and copper alloys is prone to problems of infusion and incomplete penetration. Therefore,  For preheating measuresa we should use heat source with concentrated energy and high power; When the thickness of the workpiece is thin or the structural rigidity is small, and there are no measures to prevent deformation, it is easy to produce large deformation after welding, and when the welding joint is subject to large rigid constraints, welding stress is likely to occur; It is also prone to thermal cracks when welding copper and copper alloys; Porosity is a common defect in copper and copper alloy welding.

6. Aluminum and aluminum alloy

Aluminum and aluminum alloys are highly reflective materials. When welding aluminum and its alloys, as the temperature increases, the solubility of hydrogen in aluminum increases sharply.And the dissolved hydrogen becomes a source of defects in the weld. And there are many pores in the weld. There may be a cavity in the root during deep penetration welding. Then the weld bead formation is poor.

Considering our customers’ concerns, i ‘d like to share with you some features and operation cost of the handheld fiber laser welding machine. This machine is easy to operate and the maintenance cost is also very low.

*1.No need to install,can use directly.

There is no need to installation for the handheld laser welding machine,so  our customers can use it directly after receiving the machine. It is very easy to operate,and  there is no installation and training cost.

We have manual and operation video for our customers and also  provide video call training, so that we can make sure that our customers can use this machine within 3 days.

*2.Less consumables:

The quickly-wear parts for the handheld fiber laser welding machine are only protective lens and copper nozzle.

And if you buy them from us, we can give you the cost price,

USD10  for copper nozzle(lifetime is 360 hours)

USD8  for protective lens(lifetime is 240 hours).

*4. Easy to maintain

The maintenance for this machine is very easy, when finish your welding work, then turn off the power and clean the welding head, it can make the lifetime of protective lens and copper nozzle longer.

*5.Power consumption

Except the quick-wear parts, the machine also consume electricity and gas.

The power consumption of 1kw machine is 7.5kw-8.5kw/hour at full power situation. In fact, we usually just use 50%-60% power of 1000w to weld the metals, because it is enough, so the power consumption is small.

*6.Gas consumption

The machine also need to connect with gas, argon or nitrogen.

The gas can isolate the air from the welding plate to prevent the reaction with the air. So the welding surface of the metal plate will be white and beautiful. The gas also can protect the lens from welding dust.

Otherwise,The price of the gas is different in different counties and regions. If our customers think the cost of the gas is too high,then they can use air compressor to produce air gas. But the welding effect will not very good, the welding surface of the metal may be black, so our customers should wipe the surface of the metal with ethyl alcohol.

Here are some descriprtions of the handheld fiber laser welding machine.I would like to share with you some features and operation cost of the handheld fiber laser welding machine. It is easy to operate and the maintenance cost is also very low.

First of all,needn’t welding wire.

Compared with the traditional welding, like tig, it doesn’t need to use welding wire.Only when the gap more than 0.5mm, we should use the wire feeder.

Secondly,less quick-wear parts.

The quickly-wear parts for the  machine are only protective lens and copper nozzle.

What’s more,less electricity and gas.

Except the quick-wear parts, the machine also consume electricity and gas.
