Operating cost of fiber laser welder

 

Today we will show you operating cost of fiber laser welder. The cost includes 3 parts: Electricity, gas, consumable parts.

1. Electricity of laser welder
1kw laser welder rated power is 7.5kw; 1.5kw laser welder rated power is 8.5kw;
2kw laser welder rated power is 10kw.
In fact, we usually just use 50%-60% power to weld the metals, it is enough, so the power consumption is small.

2. Gas
The machine also need to connect with gas: argon or nitrogen. Gas consumption is about 10L/h.
The gas can isolate the air from the welding plate to prevent the reaction with the air. So the welding surface of the metal plate will be white and beautiful. The gas also can protect the lens from welding dust.
Because it won’t cost too much gas, so most clients choose argon or nitrogen.

The price of the gas is different in different countries and regions. If you think the cost of the gas is too high, you can use air compressor to produce air gas. But the welding effect will not very good, the welding surface of the metal may be black, so our customers should wipe the surface of the metal with ethyl alcohol.

3. Consumable parts: Copper nozzle and Protective lens
Real consumption also depends on operator and environment. Better environment, longer using time.

Copper nozzle($9/piece): lifetime is about 360 hours, about 25pcs per year.
Protective lens($7/piece): lifetime is about 240 hours, about 40-50pcs per year.
Real consumption also depends on operator and environment. Better environment, longer using time.

2. Nozzles
Nozzles can prevent debris from bouncing up to protect the lens.
It also can help control the area and size of the auxiliary gas diffusion.

Nowadays, more and more people choose fiber laser machine to finish their work.Fiber laser welding is very easy to use and the cost of maintenance is also very low.

It just has a little quickly- wear parts.It is small, need not a very big area to place it.Besides these, fiber laser welding also has other convenience. So more and more people choose to change to use fiber laser welding instead of original welding.

There are some details about how to ensure the safty while using a fiber laser welding.

Firstly,the working system of fiber laser welding includes safety protection,and the laser will work only when the clip and the welding gun contact with metal at the same time,which can protect the safety of the operator.

Secondly,fiber laser welding need to adjust the light to the focus. When it adjust well,the welding effect will be the best and the safty of using it will be the highest.It can avoid the sparks caused by strong light of using the machine do harm to the operator. And it also can extand the life of the protective lens.

Thirdly,when you use your fiber laser welding , please wear high temperature gloves for double safe.

Fourthly, in order to protect your eyes, when you using your fiber laser welding please put on your goggles.

Last but not least, if you want to use the machine, please set an safe area at advance. The focal length of the welding head is about 150 mm, the range beyond 30 CM of the welding head is safe. So please set a safety warning line for the 30CM near the operating table.

Here are some descriprtions of the handheld fiber laser welding machine.I would like to share with you some features and operation cost of the handheld fiber laser welding machine. It is easy to operate and the maintenance cost is also very low.

First of all,needn’t welding wire.

Compared with the traditional welding, like tig, it doesn’t need to use welding wire.Only when the gap more than 0.5mm, we should use the wire feeder.

Secondly,less quick-wear parts.

The quickly-wear parts for the  machine are only protective lens and copper nozzle.

What’s more,less electricity and gas.

Except the quick-wear parts, the machine also consume electricity and gas.
The power consumption of 1kw machine is 7.5kw/hour at full power situation. In fact, we usually just use 50%-60% power of 1000w to weld the metals.So the power consumption is small.The machine also need to connect with gas, argon or nitrogen.

Firstly,simple operation.

The laser welding machine only include the laser source,laser welding head,water chiller,operation system.

There are several buttons on the machine,laser source switch,power supply switch,system switch,water chiller button.

About the filling wire:

If welding gap is not big,no need to use filler wire. If big or want to more stronger,it is better to add filler wire. And if welding stainless steel,the filler wire must be stainless steel. The filler wire function is make up the small welding spot,make the welding parts more stronger.

But one mote thing need to pay attention,your filling wire’s diameter must bigger than the welding gaps. Take an example,such as welding gap is 1.2mm,the filling cable must more than 1.2mm,1.5mm will be better.

The welding nozzle diameter mainly have 1.5mm/1.8mm/2.0mm,if the welding gap within 2.0mm,that is no need add filler wire. But if the welding gap is biggher than 2.0mm. Or you want the welding performance  more stronger (even the welding gap within 2.0mm),you can chose together with the filler wire system.

The welding machine is not same as the the cutting machine.we can not only say ability.
Generally we use two kinds of words to learn the welding capability.
Welding depth(melt depth) and welding ability.

 Melt depth

1.Firstly,Welding depth is not related to the welding situation.it is the melt depth.
for 400 w,steel:2.5mm .aluminum:0.25mm
and then,for 500 w,steel:3mm. aluminum:0.3mm

Welding ability

2.Secondly,Welding ability(it is related to ur welding situation,such as the Stitching welding , Penetration welding)

1)Firstly,for stitching welding

For 400 w,steel:1.5mm .aluminum:1mm
For 500 w,steel:2mm .aluminum:2mm

2)Secondly,for Penetration welding

For 400 w,steel : 1mm
For 500 w,steel: 1.5mm

As u know,aluminum is high-reflective material.so it is difficult to do penetration welding.So we do not suggest that.
