1.The fiber head installation method is incorrect in the cutting head.

For this reason, the main solution is to choose the correct fiber laser head installation method.

Most installers tend to assemble freely the cutting heads, tilting the fiber-optic head installation direction, resulting in inadvertent installation.

We should try to keep the fiber head horizontally installed inside the cutting head and lock it during the installation process.

Besides that we can try to operate in a clean environment avoid dust from rising during the installation process.

Or we can choose to operate in the morning to prevent dust from entering the cutting head.

2.The cutting head itself has a poor sealing effect

For the sealing of the cutting head, it is not always possible to guarantee complete sealing.

Then, a feasible method is to install a breathing system to maintain the internal pressure of the cutting head.

3.Incorrect replacement of the protective window case

Due to the relatively large volume of the protective mirror box, particles are inevitably mixed during the replacement process.

Therefore, we must change the speed  when replacing the protective mirror box.

And we should seal the window with tape or other film.

4.Unreasonable cutting head consumables used

The selection of qualified protective mirrors and “O” type sealing rubber ring can ensure the sealing of the cutting head and prevent the entry of dust particles.

5.Improper laser cutting machine operation

When operating the laser cutting machine, we must strictly follow the equipment instructions and requirements and operate correctly.

Reduce the impact of improper handling on the cutting head.

6.Poor maintenance of the cutting head

The cutting head should be as clean and dry as possible and cleaned regularly.

When customer purchase a laser marking machine, the one important question is the lens deciding. Why this is so important? It is because the machine will only with one lens.  So that means if you choose one which is  incorrect. Then your machine may not able to achieve what you want it to do. So in usual, there are these model below:

50 * 50mm, 110 * 110mm, 175 * 175mm, 200 * 200mm, 300 * 300mm.

The lens‘ price are same. So there are lots of customers are willing to choose bigger size. Because the model defined by working area. The customers who want the biggest one was thinking that might process bigger stuff. But is the idea correct?

Definitely no, I always say that there is not a machine could do anything for you.

How to choose lens?

First you need to know what is the maximum size you need to mark for your object. If the object is only 100*100mm, Then you choose 110*110mm. Do not choose bigger size. Because laser is a kind of light. If you do want to engraving, deep engraving, or even cutting. The lens you choose bigger, it means the laser from two sides are weaker.

When the scanning area reaches a certain level, the light spot diameter is very large, not sufficiently fine. Because the spot becomes large,the distortion increases,so the power density of laser decreases rapidly, and the working distance lengthens. This inevitably leads to the loss of laser energy. So it doesn’t conducive to precision machining.

By the way, when customers choosing it, the customers also need to consider the overall configuration. If you already decide to purchase a 20w machine. But you still want a 300*300mm lens. Then the power of laser is very weak.

So  in short, to choose best one for a machine, you need to consider it carefully.

As we know, the normal configuration of a fiber marking machine is 20W power with 110 x 110 mm lens.

Usually, the fiber marking machine within 110 x 110 mm area is enough for most kinds of laser marking engraving application needs.

But a few customers need to engraving marking some bigger patterns or logos sizes than 175 x 175 mm or 200 x 200 mm, even 300 x 300 mm. Then what configuration should be equipped to fulfill the needs and best accurate marking engraving demands?

If the marking area 175 x 175 mm or 200 x 200 mm, the wattage of the fiber laser source must be at least 30W. If we use the 20W for 175 x 175 mm, of course, the machine also can mark engrave on the subject, but the edge marking quality is not well ,as the laser has week function on the edge of the 175 x 175 mm area.

So the lens’s size is not the larger the better, we need sider the relevant wattage of the fiber laser source’s power equipped.

According to the practical situation, we can give some configuration formula suggestion as below:

So Fiber Laser Marking machine 20W:  Laser Processing Area|(f-theta lens chosen): 110 x 110 mm

so Fiber Laser Marking machine 30W:  Laser Processing Area|(f-theta lens chosen): 175 x 175 mm or 200 x 200 mm

so Fiber Laser Marking machine 50W: Laser Processing Area|(f-theta lens chosen): 200 x 200 mm or 300 x 300 mm

so Fiber Laser Marking machine 100W: Laser Processing Area|(f-theta lens chosen): 300 x 300 mm
