So we should pay more attention to the lubricating oil of the fan if it is continuously running.

There is no need to worry about the antifreeze of the lubricating oil.

If  u use the chiller intermittently or not use for a long time, you should pay attention to antifreeze.

If u do not use it for a long time, u should clean the air-cooled fiber laser cutter and coate with protective oil.

Peole should keep waterproof to prevent frostbite in the air-cooled machine because of cold weather in winter.

If we use it intermittently, we should scrap off the fan oil when the production is stopped.

And then applying an appropriate amount of lubricant when using.

In the case of normal operation of the air-cooled chiller, we must assure the sufficient water flow and water pressure.

And then we could avoid the problem tof frozen cooling water.

Unlike the air-cooled chillers, the cooling and cooling components of water-cooled chillers are water circulation systems rather than fan systems.

So the antifreeze task is more difficult, even during normal operation.

Tips for avoiding freeze of water chiller on fiber laser cutter

1. The recommended method for preventing icing is to keep the water chiller. And the equipment at a temperature above 0 °C.

2. If the temperature does not reach above 0 °C, keep the cooled equipment and the water chiller turn on.

If the water in the pipe is always flowing, it can prevent icing.

Of course, in this case, if the water chiller is shut down for a long time due to a malfunction or a power outage. There is also a certain risk of icing.

3. During the Spring Festival and other holidays, if the above two points are not available, jepp the water in the water cooler tank, piping and internal water parts drain as much as possible.

4. If the above methods are not possible. For the water chiller, you can add the antifreeze  3:7 (3 is antifreeze, 7 is water).

After adding antifreeze, it can resist -20 °C without freezing.

1.When the temperature is low, the water cycle for a period of time can make the water temperature higher. Which benefits for normal work of laser source
2.When the humidity is large, it is possible to make the internal condensation caused by the water. After the water cycle, the water cooling machine will automatically adjust to the appropriate water temperature to eliminate the condensation.

Fiber laser generator with more than 1000W comes with a dehumidifier. Which can reduce the humidity inside the laser resource. So that keep the dew point down. All fiber laser generator manufacturers will require to get in power to the fiber. Running dehumidifier device for a period of time and then connect the water.

According to the tests results with various type of  water chiller, the temperature of the low temperature water is about 5 ℃ higher than that of the dew point, and the high temperature water is about 10 ℃ higher than the dew point under the condition of automatic temperature control. If the customer uses the water cooler is not our company’s standard. Or need to set their own water temperature for special reasons. We recommend that customers set the temperature as above.

 What is dew point? How does it relate to temperature and humidity?

Condensation refers to the phenomenon that the temperature of the object surface is lower than that of the air around. (Just like take out a drink out of the refrigerator, there will be dew on the outside of the bottle, this is the condensation phenomenon. If condensation occurs inside the fiber laser generator, the damage is irreversible.) Dew point is the temperature of an object when it starts condensation, it is related to temperature and humidity, see the chart on the next page.

For example: If the temperature is 25 ℃, humidity is 50%, lookout table that dew point temperature of 14 ℃. In other words,with the environment of 25 ℃ temperature and 50% humidity, the water temperature of the water cooler to more than 14 ℃ will not need to cool the equipment condensation. At this time, if you set the water temperature, we recommend that the low-temperature water’s temperature to be 19 ℃, high-temperature water’s temperature to be 24 ℃.

But the dew point is too easy to change, the water temperature set a little carelessness may cause condensation phenomenon, do not recommend the customer set the water temperature by themselves, the best condition is to let the machine run in constant temperature and humidity environment.

Imagine an extreme environment, if the machine running the environment of 36 ℃ temperature,80% humidity, the dew point temperature is 32 ℃ through checking the table at this time.

In other words, at this time the water temperature of the water cooler at least 32 ℃ will not make the equipment condensation, if exceeds temperature more than 32 ℃ water really, water cooler won’t be real „water cooler“, the equipment cooling effect must be very bad.

Sometimes it may lead the laser source be damaged very bad. Therefore, the user need to pay more attention on taking care of the machine in winter.

For extension the machine’s lifetime, we provide some tips you can have a look.

1 At first, please follow the rules to use the fiber laser cutting machine. The working condition of the temperature is from 15°C to 40°C.

2 Sometimes, the temperature is getting real low. The water inside of laser source is getting freeze. So we suggest you to add glycol to the water cooling system. The brand we suggest you AntifrogenN. The limit of capacity is 10%-20%. For example, if the water chiller could add 100L purifying water. The gloycol you add can not over than 20L.  More important is : Never Add propylene glycol.

3 If the working condition is between 10°C- 40°C, no need add any coolant. And when you use it in summer, please make sure all the coolant already removed, then add purifying water in you water chiller.

4 If you won’t use the fiber laser cutting machine in winter, please make sure there is no water in inside of laser source. If there is some, please unwater the tube of laser source.

5 If the laser source need to repair under cold temperature, please unwater the laser source and then package it and send it.

6 If the laser source power over 2000 watts. Ensure the laser source is energizing, if not the solenoid valve will affect you unwater the laser source.

 

When you trying to remove the water from laser source, cutting head and water chiller. Remove it first, and then you need to use the air less than 5 bar to make all those stuff dry.

Water cooling system is a independent device connect with the fiber laser cutting machine.  The main function of the device is for cooling laser source and laser cutting head. When the machine is running,  the laser source and cutting head will get heat. The high temperature will hurt those two key parts. To ensure those components in a good working condition, the cooling system is indispensable.

XT Laser won’t produce the water cooling system by our own, but we choose the best water cooling device for our fiber laser cutting machine.

Actually,to achieve cutting by this machine. There are   two main parts very important. They are laser source and cutting head. The water cooling system is used for cooling cutting head and laser source. In general, you can find two brands of water cooling system in the Chinese market for laser cutter. Tongfei NC and S&A CW.

Base on our professional consideration, our cooling-system is picking the more professional one. The Tongfei’s water chiller is aim to fiber laser cutting machine, to design a best solution for cutter.

But you also can find some company use S&A water cooling system. Indeed, S&A is also a very good brand. However, its water chiller is better on laser marking machine, YAG laser Machine, Co2 engraving machine and laser cleaning machine. For the continuous type fiber laser cutting machine. Tongfei’s device is more stable and more targeted. The cost is also higher than S&A device. Don’t ignore this factor, because every details will affect the machine.

In addition to the water cooling system, it should also start from the refrigerant. When the temperature is too low, the refrigerant may have a problem of changing the properties. In winter, if you do not use the water-cooled chiller for a short period of time, you should always start the preheating. Before the official use, you should first open the pump, cooling the water tower, and then open the compressor.

In order to ensure the normal operation of the cooling equipment:
  1. The method for preventing icing is to keep the water chiller and the equipment being cooled at a temperature above 0 °C.
  2. If the temperature does not reach above 0 °C, keep the cooled equipment and the water chiller turned on. If the water in the pipe is always flowing, it can prevent icing. Of course, in this case, if shutting down the water chiller for a long time due to a malfunction or a power outage, there is also a certain risk of icing.
  3. During the Spring Festival and other holidays, if the above two points are not available. The water in the water cooler tank,  it’s better to clean out all the water inside the piping ASAP
  4. If the above methods are not possible, for the water chiller, you can add the antifreeze by the ratio of addition is 3:7 (3 is antifreeze, 7 is water), after adding antifreeze, it can resist -20 °C without freezing.
